✳ PRIVACY & BUSINESS INFORMATION
Your information.
Handled thoughtfully.
Last updated: 1 November 2026. This notice explains how LumenWild handles information when you visit this website, request a quote, leave a review or contact us.
Quote requests and review submissions pass through FormSubmit to LumenWild’s Gmail inbox. Reviews are checked manually before publication, and your review email address stays private. We do not subscribe you to marketing. Unsuccessful enquiries and unpublished review submissions are deleted within 12 months of the last substantive contact, subject to the exceptions below.
Business operator & data controller
Joshua King, trading as LumenWild, is the sole-trader service provider and data controller responsible for the personal information described in this notice. LumenWild is an independent UK web and software development business.
For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected] or call +44 7516 241138.
What information we receive
The quote form asks for your name, email address, project type, estimated budget and project description. Business name and desired completion date are optional. We also receive the information you choose to include in later emails, calls or texts. Please avoid including passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information.
The review form asks for a public display name, a private email address, the service used, a star rating, a review title and your review. It also records your confirmation of a genuine experience and your permission to publish. We may contact you privately to check the experience or clarify the review. Please leave out other people’s personal information and confidential project details.
Website requests reveal technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages and request times to our hosting provider, Cloudflare. Submitting the form also shares its contents, the form page address and technical request information with FormSubmit. We do not request file uploads or take payments through this website.
You choose whether to contact us or leave a review. There is no legal requirement to do either. Forms need the fields marked with an asterisk to process the request; without contact details we may be unable to reply or check a review. Leaving a review and granting publication permission are optional and do not affect your services. You can send private feedback by email instead.
How and why we use information
- Quotes and requested services: to understand your project, answer your questions and prepare a quote. Where you are considering a contract with us personally, this is necessary to take steps at your request before a contract, or to carry out that contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- Business enquiries and correspondence: when you contact us for an organisation or ask a general question, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to requests and managing business relationships (Article 6(1)(f)). We use only information relevant to that correspondence.
- Receiving and checking reviews: our legitimate interests are handling voluntarily submitted feedback, checking that reviews reflect genuine experiences, preventing misleading reviews and dealing with reports or corrections (Article 6(1)(f)). We use your email privately for those checks and related correspondence.
- Publishing reviews: we rely on your separate opt-in permission (Article 6(1)(a)). If approved, your display name, service, rating, title, review and publication date are visible to anyone on this website. Public material may be found by search engines or copied by visitors. Your email address and private verification correspondence are not published. We keep a minimal record of the permission and its wording to manage publication and withdrawals.
- Security and necessary records: our legitimate interests are keeping the website and inbox secure, preventing spam, keeping a proportionate record of discussions and resolving complaints or legal claims (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Legal responsibilities: where necessary, we keep or disclose information to meet applicable tax, accounting or other legal obligations, including responding to data protection requests (Article 6(1)(c)).
The quote form’s privacy acknowledgement confirms that you have seen this notice. Review publication has its own separate permission checkbox. Neither is consent to marketing. We do not sell enquiry or private review information, add visitors to a mailing list or make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated processing. Forms use basic automated spam checks; publication decisions are manual.
Who receives information
- Cloudflare Pages hosts and delivers this website and processes technical request information to operate and protect its services. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- FormSubmit.co receives quote and review form submissions and forwards them by email. See its privacy terms and service documentation.
- Google Gmail stores and processes email sent to [email protected], including forwarded enquiries, reviews, verification correspondence and our replies. See Google’s privacy policy.
If you use your own email or SMS application, your chosen provider also handles the message under its own terms. Approved public review details are also served by Cloudflare to website visitors. We may disclose relevant information where required by law or where necessary to obtain professional advice or deal with a specific dispute. We do not give providers permission to use private enquiry or review contents for LumenWild advertising.
International processing
Cloudflare and Google operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the UK, including in the United States. Their published terms describe applicable transfer arrangements, including adequacy frameworks and contractual safeguards. Cloudflare’s data processing addendum describes the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum. Google explains its arrangements and links to relevant safeguards in its data transfer framework information.
FormSubmit’s published privacy terms do not identify its processing countries or a UK international transfer mechanism. We cannot confirm UK-only processing or a specific transfer safeguard for that service. If you prefer not to send your enquiry or review through FormSubmit, email us directly; Google will still process that email. Contact us using the details above for the provider information available to us.
How long information is kept
- Unsuccessful enquiries: we delete enquiry emails within 12 months of the last substantive contact, unless an active discussion, specific dispute or legal obligation requires the relevant information to be kept longer. We review any exception when that reason ends.
- Enquiries that become client work: relevant details become part of the project record. We keep them while delivering the project and agreed support, then only for applicable tax or accounting record periods or to manage a specific complaint or legal claim. The applicable obligation, accounting period and any unresolved claim determine that period; unrelated enquiry material is not kept indefinitely.
- Reviews: unpublished submissions and related correspondence are deleted within 12 months of the last substantive contact, unless an active verification discussion, specific dispute or legal obligation requires relevant information for longer. Published reviews are reviewed at least annually and kept while relevant and publication permission remains current. We keep only the permission and verification evidence needed while a review is published; afterwards, any minimal record is kept only while needed to action a withdrawal, resolve a specific dispute or meet a legal obligation, then deleted.
- FormSubmit’s archive: its documentation states that submissions are retained for 30 days. This is separate from the email copy in Gmail.
- Provider technical records and backups: Cloudflare and Google apply their own retention and deletion processes. They do not publish one fixed period for every record type. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy and Google’s retention information.
Cookies, drafts and demonstrations
The website includes no analytics, advertising scripts or third-party fonts and does not set non-essential cookies. Technical information may still be processed to deliver and protect requests.
Quote and review drafts and the fictional demos use the current page’s memory, rather than persistent browser storage. Reloading resets demo data. Clearing a draft removes the in-page copy; your browser may restore fields through history or autofill. Downloaded drafts remain on your device until you delete them.
Email and text links open your device’s application with a draft. Opening a link does not send the message; you review it and press Send there. Demo orders, payments and appointments are fictional and are not sent to real businesses.
Your rights and choices
Depending on the processing, you can ask for access to your personal information, correction, erasure or restriction. Data portability may apply to information you provided that we process automatically on the basis of a contract or consent. These rights have conditions and exceptions.
You can withdraw review publication permission at any time, without affecting your services or the lawfulness of earlier publication. Email [email protected] with your display name and review title. After a proportionate identity check, we will remove it from the current website as soon as reasonably possible. Search engine results, cached copies and copies made by others may take longer to change and are not under our direct control.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your circumstances. Email [email protected] and explain what you object to. We will consider your request and stop that processing unless an applicable legal exception allows it to continue.
Use the contact details above to exercise your rights. We may request proportionate information to confirm your identity and will respond within the applicable legal timescale. You do not normally have to pay to exercise your rights.
You can complain directly to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator. You are welcome to contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.
Changes to this notice
We update this notice when the website, providers or our handling of information changes. The date above shows the latest update. If we intend to use information for a new purpose, we will explain that before doing so.
